Torun Forslid mainly prepares and pursues issues pertaining to the vice-chancellor and is also responsible for coordination within the University management. Preparing and pursuing issues pertaining to the vice-chancellor includes organising the work of the vice-chancellor’s Management Council and the relevant contacts with the faculties and boards. The senior advisor to the vice-chancellor also has special responsibility for the vice-chancellor’s ceremonial duties and contacts with student associations. In addition, the senior advisor to the vice-chancellor works with the pro vice-chancellor for external engagement on issues pertaining to culture and ethics.
Torun Forslid holds an MSc in Business and Economics and is a journalist whose previous appointments include head of the faculty office of the Faculty of Science, head of the faculty office of the Faculty of Social Sciences and administrative manager at the School of Economics and Management.
