The Swedish Institute Summer Academy for Young Professionals (SI-SAYP) is a training programme developed to build awareness, capacity and resilience in the practice of governance in the Baltic Sea region, the countries in the EU Eastern Partnership?and the Western Balkans. The aim of SAYP is also to strengthen young professionals and their individual capabilities to meet the requirements of a modern governance structure. The overall thematic framework is sustainable modern governance. During SAYP, the participants will be able to expand their own contact networks and share ideas, experiences and challenges. In 2019, Lund University is organising two thematic modules within SI-SAYP. One module focuses on innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship (Western Balkans) and the other on human rights and decentralisation within public administration (Baltic Sea Region/EU Eastern Partnership).
